My July Flies!

Okay…the laziness has to cease, and I need to get back on updating more frequently. I cannot believe it is almost mid-July, time flies! With all three campaigns up and running, work is crazy since the beginning of 2008. Everyday, it is like a battlefield at work, and I have to be 100% prepared, both mentally and physically.

Cwis came for the holiday weekend, but I had to work on July 4th for pretty much the whole day, therefore, we didn’t get to go anywhere or do anything festive. To make up our July 4th holiday, Ben arranged a one-day fun in D.C.! We first went to Old Ebbitt Grill for brunch. Its Victorian decor impressed me tremendously, except for I wouldn’t want a whole bunch of “hunting trophies” hanging up on every corner of my house.

Afterwards, we strolled around The White House and then cruised to Georgetown to get some yummy cakecups and gelato/sorbetto. In the evening, Ben took us to his favorite tapas restaurant called La Tasca, where he and Cwis finished a big pitcher of sangria and each of us had 3 plates of tapas! I had so much fun!

Before I know it, it will be August soon, and by then there will be more for Ben and I to look forward to. Every day is a brand new day and we need to live ourlives to the fullest!

Wow, I haven’t been to the Old Ebbets Grill in years. Literally years. But I’d bet you’re not lazy for not blogging, just busy. Right? right? :-)

The Old Ebbets I went to is right across the street from the Treasury. Isn’t that where you went? It was large and dark, multi-leveled and cavernous. The food was so-so. I think DC needs better, more affordable restaurants that’s why I usually eat here in VA these days. While the selection is not as wide as it is in DC, it is reasonable.

Aww, so touching. Gelato is amazing! I had it at least once a day when I was in Italy.
