A Great Time followed by A Series of Unfortunate Events
I had so much fun on the July 4th long weekend in Busch Gardens Europe and Virginia Beach! Our room at Embassy Suite in Williamsburg, VA was surprisingly nice and we were even offered complimentary breakfast buffet. At Busch Gardens Europe. we did not get on as many rides as we wanted, but it was great to just frolic around and the nice weather made it a joy.
Virginia Beach was only an hour drive away from Williamsburg. We got upgraded to the top floor (15th) at The Westin Virginia Beach Town center. Our room was roomy with a great view! Although it is 15 minutes away from the beach, the Virginia Beach town center is a relative new area with many restaurants and stores, and I really liked it there. Virginia Beach was awesome, I think the shoreline is so much longer than it is in Ocean City. The water was at a right temperature that day, but the breeze made it pretty cold every time I got out of the water. Gladly the sun was very cooperative, meaning I never knew bathing in the sun could be so warm and enjoyable! Besides all the good time I had, many poopy things happened (in the sequence described below) during our vacation. First of all, my brand new cream color lambskin cross body bag was stained blue by my jeans. Secondly, hotel housekeeping threw away a big bag of animal crackers and it was not even opened. Third, Ben's sunglasses got eaten by the wave minutes after I warned him about the consequence wearing them in the water. Fourth, I forgot my iPhone in the restaurant's restroom and when I remembered and rushed back to retrieve it, only to find that some bitch had already stolen it. Fifth, it took us totally 8 hours to return home from Virginia Beach, which is only 4 hours away. Lastly, the Chinese take-out restaurant gave me orange chicken when I actually ordered General Tso's chicken and my food labeled General Tso's. Losing my phone took me several day's mourning before I could re-organize my thoughts of this trip and type up this post. Anyway, I let go and ordered myself a new iPhone 3GS, which I should receive next Tuesday. I promise to guard it with my life!
