Not that I don’t look forward to the brand new year; it is more like, things will pretty much stay the same as where they are now. There won’t be any drastic changes that I can foresee. However, “no news is good news”, and I hope 2009 will be as smooth as 2008, with a few extra kicks here and there. :P

Also, to my own surprise, I couldn’t come up with any new year’s resolution. I only know that I need to be more proactive “in every way”, but isn’t it too vague to be listed as a resolution?

Anyway, it is back to work next week. I am ready to take on whatever challenges that are coming at me!

Have I really become that lazy?  Or is it the invention of Facebook?  I am not writing much on Facebook either, but I update my status from time to time and people know that I am “active”.

Should I make blogging one of my new year’s resolutions?  We will see…

Benetton did not come greet us at the door like he always does. I thought he must have been asleep already, so I went upstairs to check on him, only to find him having a seizure-like reaction, shivering and panting like crazy. We rushed him to the emergency animal clinic. The vet thought he dislocated the kneecap of his left back leg, and the pain explained the panting and shaking.

He was given a shot of painkiller and will need to take Metacam orally for the next couple days. He still limped a little bit yesterday when he walked, but this morning, he seemed to be doing much better. Hopefully, we will know more when we take him back to his vet for the follow-up.

This incident made me realize how important he is to me. He really is, like my baby. I can understand now why some people treat their pets like their children because I would totally do the same.
